Shampoo or liquid shampoo rather was invented by Hans Schwarzkopf in 1927. But before the discovery and use of (liquid) shampoo, people from earlier time used soap that derived from plants. It is also believed that the word shampoo comes from the Indian word “champi”.
Champi is an herbal paste to cleanse, condition, and make the hair smell good. The more famous and commercialized shampoo that most used up to this day is by Schwarzkopf. It contains chemicals and different scents to make the shampoo lasts longer and for people can choose their desired hair scent. The liquid shampoo is also easier to rinse thus making it more widely used.
