The California Life and Health Insurance Guarantee Association is an American entity that was created as a mandatory agency in accordance with the California Life and Health Insurance Association Act of 1991. This organization is made up of licensed insurance companies operating in the state of California.
The aim of the association is to guarantee that all insureds of the members of the association are protected (limited protection) in the event that the insurance company that they purchase the policy from becomes insolvent.
