The easiest way to calculate the acceleration of a moving body is to take a difference of the final and the initial velocity of an object, and to divide it by the time taken to speed up the object from its initial speed up till its final speed. There also exist many other ways to calculate the acceleration of moving objects.
For instance, the gravitational acceleration can be calculated by using the simple formula which is gravitational acceleration is equal to the Weight divided by the mass of an object. However, this only applies to the objects that are falling under action of gravity.
