The word pyramid was gotten from the Greek word Pyramis. A pyramid is a structure with a triangular outer surface and converges to a single step at the top.

There are 4 types of the pyramid; these pyramids are named based on their shapes and their bases. Pyramids are designs with the majority of their weight on the ground. However, there are modern inverted pyramids.

The first pyramid we will be discussing is the step pyramid. The step pyramid is a structure that uses steps receding from the ground to the top to achieve a geometric shape.

The next pyramid is the bent pyramid. The bent pyramid is one of the three pyramids that were built; it is bent because the angle was changed halfway to prevent the building from collapsing.

Another pyramid is the great pyramid of Giza, it was built to sustain eternity, and it has an estimated 2.3 million stone blocks, which weigh an average of 2.5 to 15 tons.

And the last pyramid is the Red pyramid; it is the largest pyramid in Cairo Egypt, it was built for Pharaoh Snefru.

The correct answer to this question is four. The first type of pyramid is called the step pyramid. As the name suggests, this type of period has steps from the ground up. The shape of the step pyramid is one that is similar to a pyramid in geometry. The next pyramid is the red pyramid.

Out of all the pyramids, this is the largest type of pyramid. It has a red hue, as it is made of limestones. Next is the bent pyramid. It is also made of limestones. Lastly, there is the great pyramid. This is the only one that is mainly intact. It has a base that is square and four sides.

It can be confusing to know the different types of pyramids because it seems that there are so many that you can find. There are four main types of pyramids that you can find. These four main types are the following: step pyramid, red pyramid, bent pyramid, and finally, the great pyramid. There are some people who would specifically go to Egypt in order to see the pyramids.

There is just something about seeing these pyramids in person that would make people feel in awe. There is always a mystery that surrounds these pyramids like how exactly they are created and the secrets that each pyramid holds.

The pyramids are known as the resting places of kings; although, the earliest of these sites were not pyramids, as bodies were incinerated in oval pit graves. As time moved on, the deceased of the higher ranking was buried in protective clay or wooden coffins. Mastabas were low, flat-roofed tombs with tilted slides often assembled into the bedrock and created of mud bricks and stone. This building was the first time that bodies were protected from the desert. Over time, the mastaba was expanded to form the foundation of the step pyramid, and thus began the basic shape of the pyramid, which had many distinct layers.

The medium pyramid was the next in line after the mastabas. It started as a step pyramid, but the composition was finished in limestone, which was the first classic pyramid. The only thing amiss was the angle, as it was lowered from 54 to 43 degrees. Then came the Red pyramid, which was the first real pyramid, and it is like the ones we see today. Giza pyramids are the standard pyramids of Egypt. They are 146 meters tall and with slides that slope at an angle with almost no variance. The Great Pyramid overshadows the Giza plateau. It is the most popular type of Egyptian pyramids.
