There are differences between B cells and T cells, especially in their functions. B cells originate and develop in the bone marrow. They bear BCR receptors and also the mature cells develop outside the lymph node.
They have a very short life span and there are antibodies and antigens located on the surface. They do not have an inhibitory effect on the immune systems. They are few in numbers compared to T cells. There are two types of B cells which are plasma cells and memory cells. They fight mainly against viruses and bacteria.
T cells originate in the bone marrow and develop in the thymus, they bear TCR receptors. They have a long-life span and lack both antigen and antibodies on their surface. They are involved in cell-mediated immunity and also secrete lymphocytes.

There are so many ways to differentiate B cells from T cells. Below are some notable differences: B cells are produced in the bone marrow, and they also mature in the Bone marrow. These cells produce and secrete antibodies. Antibodies fight against pathogens that have gotten into the body. There are two types of B cells: the memory cells and plasma cells.
B cells have a B cell receptor, also known as BCR. T cells are also produced in the bone marrow, but they travel to the thymus where they mature. T cells identify viruses and microorganisms by the antigen-presenting cells (APC) present on the surface of the cell. There are two types of T cells: cytotoxic T cells and helper T cells. T cells have T cell receptor commonly referred to as TCR. Compared to B cells, T cells have a longer life span. I hope you find this information helpful.
T cells mature in the thymus and B cells mature in the bone marrow. T cells are involved in T cell mediated immunity where they do not produce any antibodies. On the other hand, B cells are involved in humoral antibodies and are responsible to produce antibodies specific to the antigens.B cells have receptors i.e IgM serves as a receptor for antigen. T cells have receptors(TCR) for antigen presenting cells in contrast to certain MHC which is I and II.
B cells recognize certain antigens (through B cell receptor) and mature and develop into specialized forms that produce any of the five classes of immhuoglobulins capable of rapid & efficient neutralization of antigens. T cells also recognize certain antigens (through T cell receptor) in association with certain molecules and respond to antigens by releasing chemical substances that promote protective biological processes.T cells also over help to B cells.
