When people feel depressed or they encounter suicidal tendencies, they may experience all sorts of feelings and they may react differently. Sometimes, people experience emotions other than sadness during a severe depression. They may feel scared because they know that they are planning their suicide. They may pretend to be happy or they may be acting happy because they are trying to get out of their depression and they feel that this is the best way to do this.
However, some people who are depressed get angry. They may express their anger toward others including those at work, at home and in public. If you see someone with a complete change of emotion that is not normal for that situation or for that person, you need to be aware that they might be suffering from severe depression.
The suicidal client has difficulty expressing anger toward others. The depressed suicidal client frequently expresses feelings of low self-worth, feelings of remorse and guilt, and a dependence on others.
