Ulysses S. Grant was an American soldier and the commanding general of an army. He was born on April 27 1822 and died on July 23 1885. He was serving in the reign of the 18th president of America. During most battles, he was assigned as the union general to take control of the Mississippi river.
He was also promoted to commander of all the union armies, which was the highest honor, back in his time. Later, he was also elected as the president of America. He boldly fought in the Mexican army war and had special nicknames. However, the nickname Unanimous solidarity was not his.
