(slide 7)
Everyone needs to protect themselves from disease and some diseases are spread through bacteria and viruses. These infectious agents travel around to try to find someone or something else to make miserable. As these infectious agents move around, they are always trying to find what is called a susceptible host. A susceptible host is one in which will acquire the infectious agent and their immune system will not affect the outcome of the disease. They will get the disease or illness no matter what.
The agent must move and this transportation is called a vehicle. Just like a vehicle transports people to another location, so does the infectious agent. It transports itself to another victim through the environment in order to achieve its purpose.
