According to the theory, the earth’s continent used to be all close together. This explains why there were some ancestors who were still able to move walk from one continent to another without having to cross seas and oceans.

Over the past centuries, the continents started to drift apart. If you would try to analyze the shapes of the different continents, it will be evident that they seem to fit each other well. There are also other fossils that can be found in different continents though they are far apart. This theory is accepted by a lot of experts.

The continents fit together like a puzzle
Messosaurus fossils appear in South America and Africa in relatively the same area
Glossopteris fossils were discovered in all areas of the supercontinent.
