Building houses on hills in landslide danger zones is not a good idea because there is every possibility that the houses added weight would cause landslides. People are usually advised not to build houses on hills, especially in landside danger zones, because of the possibility of an occurrence that will cause landslides.

In fact, houses that are built in areas with good topography and shape are at times vulnerable to landslides due to cases of natural disasters such as earthquakes, not to talk of houses built on hills. Buildings on hills are very vulnerable to different kinds of disasters.

The added weight of the houses built on hills can easily cause landslides in the event there is a crack in the building. The funniest thing is that your pets might also increase the possibility of your house being affected by landslides, most especially when they start digging holes.

The correct answer to this question is The houses added weight can cause landslides. When it comes to landslides, they are extremely dangerous. Every year in the United States, around 25-50 people die from landslides. Along with that, the landslides can lead to 3 billion dollars in damage.

Examples of the damage that can occur from landslides are broken sewage lines, gas lines going down, and the inability to have water and electricity. Building a house on a landslide is not a good idea because it would increase the chance of a landslide occurring. Down the line, it can cause the house to be temporarily or permanently damaged.
