In science, a true solution deals with the type of mixture and how it is dissolved. Also, it also has to comply with the measurements of the particle size. Specifically, a true solution’s particles can’t be larger than one nanometer. It also must be a homogeneous mixture. This means that at least two substances are mixed together and their particles are spread evenly or uniformly throughout the mixture. The opposite of that is called heterogeneous and this means that the particles are not spread evenly throughout the mixture.

There are many examples of a true solution, but probably the most common is a sugar and water solution. When mixed thoroughly, the sugar dissolves into the water. If you drank it, the water would consistently taste sweet due to the sugar.
