Ruby Nell Bridges Hall was born on September 8th of the year 1954. She would grow up to be an American civil right activist. She started her study in one of the first African American schools after the entire New Orleans desegregation crisis which took place in 1960. She was inspired to raise her voice at an early age.
At the new school that she moved to Ruby was exposed to some protestors who made her heart break. She prayed for those protestors and that was the first defining moment of her life. She wanted to help others and fueled by her desire she was able to become a leading American civil right activist.
