The periodic table is a comprehensive display of elements in which all the elements are aligned in order of increasing proton number. This results in a special arrangement with trends and properties that are similar to each other in a specific group. Other properties are constant across the period. However, according to the traditional alignment of the elements the non-metals are stacked on the extreme right of the periodic table.
They comprise of the noble gasses, the halogens and the other non-metals close to the stair case line. These elements display typical non-metal properties, while elements on the left are metals.
