The Outsiders is a novel by S. E. Hinton, first published in 1967 by Viking Press. The book is about two cult geouos, the Greasers and the Socs, who are separated by their financial status. The story is told in first-individual account by hero Ponyboy Curtis.
Ponyboy Curtis, a member from a cult group known as the "Greasers", is leaving a movie theater when "Socs", the Greasers' adversary group, hop him. His trusted siblings—Darry and Sodapop—and a few individuals from their group safeguard him.
After the last court hearing as per the conflicts with rival cult, the judge is liberal and Pony is free from obligation regarding Weave's passing. Pony will be permitted to stay at home with Darry and Pop.
