He started off not caring about the problem being caused by banning books. He didn't care about any book and way pleased with his job. He changes once a book falls infront of his face while him and his crew were about to set a house of books on fire. He read a few words and took it. He then gets more and ends up with 20 books to read and transforms to being curious about books.
