There are a lot of people who are familiar with who Ruby Nell Bridges is. The main character in the movie that helped in integrating schools. Ruby Bridges is one of the chosen 6 black children who would be determined if they would go to an all-white school. She transferred to McDonogh No. 9. In the beginning, she was also escorted by her mother every time she went to school but after some time, it was only the marshals that were with her.
She and her family suffered a lot for her decision to go to an all-white school but not everyone was bad. There were some who showed their support and she and her family were given a chance to live again. She has helped in the improvement of her old school especially when it was devastated by hurricane Katrina.
