In a workplace you might encounter something called an accident book. As the name might imply this is a book where records of any kind of accident on the job can be recorded.
These records are often needed if someone is going to claim workman’s compensation after an accident or if a worker tries to sue a company after experiencing an accident. Conversely these records could be helpful to the employee if the company is wrongfully accusing them of being at fault for an accident. An accident book will contain guidelines on the proper way to report injuries and the proper way to write up an injury report.
