What did Wilbur Zelinsky's model of migration predict?

Wilbur Zelinsky was a renowned cultural geographer from America. He was born in 1921 and went on to die in 2013. He worked on numerous projects but demographic transition was his strong point. He created a special model that portrayed demographic transition which showed his prediction of migration characteristics.

He says that migration has 5 stages and the stage which a society is currently on depends on depends on the development of the traditional society. The last stage is called the future super advanced society in the model created by Wilbur, which displays the most developed form of migration.

The model says that how migration occurs in a country depends on how developed it is and what type of society it is. In the model he outlines five stages of migration depending on the development of the society beginning with stage one as a premodern traditional society and ending with stage five as a future super advanced society
