An antiquated idea of the world would have some people believing that the primary role of men involves going out and working to make money while the primary role of women is to take care of the home and children if there are any children in the home.
This view actually does not apply to the world any longer. 2/3 of the world’s working hours are worked by women. Women often have to work more hours than men just to make as much money as men because there are still many instances in which a woman working the same job as a man will get paid less than the man does.
Women work 2/3 of the worlds working hours, yet receive only about ten percent of the worlds income. This is because women are responsible for most of the worlds unpaid labour, which often goes unrecognized - like childcare, cooking and cleaning
