Jose Rizal is a man who was born on June 19, 1861. He was from the Philippines and he was known for being an ophthalmologist. He also wrote, but he is best known for being part of a movement that wanted the governmental control to change in his country due to Spain controlling it. When Rizal was thirty-five years old, the Spanish government executed him for what he wrote about the controlling Spanish government.
He died on December 30, 1896. The good this is that it led to Philippines being freed from Spanish rule. However, it would come after his execution, but his actions certainly led to that. He studied philosophy and letters and medicine while in school which contributed to his writings.
Jose Rizal was a renowned Filipino nationalist who was also an ophthalmologist by profession. He became known during the ending period of the Spanish rule over Philippines. He volunteered his skills and became a writer as well as a key member of the Filipino propaganda movement.
He basically led the Filipinos to start the revolution, which sort of makes him the hero of his country. He went to study Philosophy and Letters 7 Medicine in the Universidad Central de Madrid and later went on to become an ophthalmologist. He died I Bagumbayan Manila, in the Philippines On December 31st 1896.
