Speaking to some sets of people is one of the things you may not be able to miss in life especially if you are a leader, student, and likes. As a student, you will need to give presentations on school about projects or whatever. The ability of a leader to present himself well before any kind of audience makes him or us to be well respected.

However, while you are speaking to your audience most times, you may need to get much and more information from them. To achieve this, you have to understand your audience. You have to understand the way they think and what interests them. Then, that guides you concerning the type of question you are to ask your audience.

So, you are to ask them the kinds of questions that interest them, and not you. Remember, you are doing the presentation for them and not for yourself.

You would need to ask a question that cannot be answered simply with yes or no. This will allow you to get to know more about your audience and how your audience thinks. It will also let you know if they have gathered enough information about the topic that you talked about.

If they cannot answer open-ended questions, this might mean several things: first, they did not listen to you. Second, they did not understand what you were trying to say. Third, they do not have any interest in what you talked about. If your audience is able to answer your open-ended questions, then your talk is a success.

There are some people who give talks and speeches who do not get worthy answers from their audience. If you have just given your speech, you do not want this to happen. The first thing that you need to work on is to make sure that your audience is comfortable with you.

The more comfortable that they are, the more willing they would be to answer your questions and to also provide some questions of their own at the end of the show. This means that throughout your speech, you need to show that you want them to interact with you. You need to ask questions that will allow your presentation to move forward from one topic to another.
