The Philippines gained independence through the abolition of a military government. Furthermore, through autonomous governments on the provincial and municipal levels and by establishing territorial government in the country having a bicameral legislature. The date of the independence of Philippines is 12 June and in the year 2018, this day would be Tuesday.

The Independence Day in Philippines is celebrated as a national holiday. Philippines gained independence from the United States on the 4th of July in the year 1946. This is when full independence was granted as compared to the year 1935 when the first president named Manuel Quezon was elected.
