Yh defect clustering sounds correct to me. am not sure if defect masking is another name for defect clustering though

Testing shows presence of defects
Exhaustive testing is impossible
Early testing
"Defect clustering"
Pesticide paradox
Testing is context depending
Absence – of – errors fallacy

So I guess, Defect clustering should be the right answer.
