Heat is always known to cause an effect on different things that it is applied to. Calcium metal is known to melt when it is exposed to hydrochloric acid more so of the hydrochloric acid has not been diluted prior to that. The hotter the temperature is, the faster the reaction rate is going to be. Do remember that there are differences in the reaction rate depending on the components that will be exposed.
For example, instead of calcium, zinc may be exposed to hydrochloric acid. The heat that will be produced by this exposure will be different so the reaction rate may be slower or faster depending on different factors.
