In journalism, there is a technique that is used by journalists to question people and to make sure that they cover all of the material that needs to be covered for their story. The five W’s are the questions that begin with who, what, where, when, and why. Even though it does not start with W, some journalists include the questions that begin with how.
Each of the questions that the journalists ask should be answered in detail and not with a one-word answer. This idea began when a professor in the United States who was involved with teaching the Bible. He used the three W’s. These words included what, why and what of it. Also, Rudyard Kipling wrote about it in one of his stories.
