Mesopotamia is situated in West Asia and is a historical region. It is present in the Tigris-Euphrates river system and corresponds to the modern Iran and Kuwait. It existed about 6000 to 8000 years ago and was present around the Nile River and the Indus valley. The meaning of Mesopotamia in Greek is ‘between two rivers’ which defines the place perfectly.
It was bounded on the northeast by the Zagros Mountains and on the southeast by the famous Arabian plateau. Similar to modern classes, the civilization at that time was also divided. According to the most powerful first, they were a priest, upper class, lower class and then the slaves.
