You need to tell the patient what you are going to do as it is the patient’s right to understand the procedure that you have to do to keep him comfortable while you make the bed. There are different forms of Fowler’s position but let us say that the Fowler’s position you need to place the patient on is the high Fowler’s position.

This means that you need to place the patient’s bed in a 60-90 degree angle in order to keep the patient comfortable while you make some changes with the beddings. Take note that the patient’s legs have to be kept straight.
