Voice recognition is not an interface style. It is a technology that enables a computer to identify various words spoken. The procedure can be broken down into two major sections: the main phonetic identification of various words and the creation of or translation of the main language, as said, an area named natural language processing.

Voice recognition analyses the voice biometrics of a person, like a rate and movement of their tone and their original pronunciation. It is as well called speaker recognition. However, in order to be able to identify the tone of the speaker, it needs certain training in which the primary system will study the tone, pronunciation, and quality of the speaker.

This is normally achieved via a series of written words and sentences that an individual has to say through the designed or attached microphone. Voice recognition is similar to a speech recognition system, but they work differently because voice recognition can only recognize the speaker.
