Who was the defender of LA Loma who sacrificed his life during the war against the Americans?

José Torres Bugallón is a Filipino. He was a military officer who fought during the Philippine-American War and the Philippine Revolution. He is considered to be the hero during the Battle of La Loma probably because his presence was very much known there.

He may have lived a short life but he was very active in the different wars that occurred at that time in order to get the Filipinos the freedom that they wanted. During the battle of La Loma, he was fatally wounded and the Filipino people mourned the loss of a hero. There were other wars that happened in the Philippines after that.
