Sometimes, it’s these last-minute parties that end up being the coolest, most awesome, and most memorable. But the thing is, you have to get everything right. And that’s where the challenge comes because unlike a normal party where you have plenty of months or weeks to plan, it seems like you’re only a matter of days away before the big event and yet you still don’t have the essentials dialed in.

You said it’s a birthday party, okay. And since you’re the one with the intention to throw the party, then it’s safe to assume that you know the person very well. You can start form there. You can set your goal on the theme or the activity you want to do. Does the person like board games? Movies? Sports? Video games? Music? Having one central theme will help you tailor your preparations.

Okay, so now you’ve perhaps narrowed it down to one concept. It’s now time for the specifics. It helps if you could create a list of all the preparations that need to be done. Make sure it’s a comprehensive list that goes beyond saying “Set up music,” “Refill drinks,” or “Buy props.” Rather, make sure your master list includes every single detail, big and (especially) small—everything that needs to go into the preparations. Snappy Photobooths has tips on how you can create your master list so do check their article on that. Also make sure that as you prepare your list, you’re also including food preparations in the to-do list. Do you want to just chill and order pizza? Do you have the time and energy to cook? Are the guests bringing food? Make sure you don’t forget this step because you wouldn’t want your guests to starve!

Back to the theme. It’s possible that you just can’t think of a theme or you think you don’t need one and you just want a fun activity for your guests to enjoy. If so, why not hire a photobooth? If you’re in Australia, it’s very easy to hire photo booths in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and other major cities because all you have to do is visit Snappy Photobooths and let them make even that last-minute party look like it’s the party of the year for you and your friends.
