Do mercenaries still exist?

There has been a lot of news that mercenaries still exist in the world than in the past. There are have been a lot of laws put in place to ban mercenaries, but most of the mercenaries available now operate undercover.

There is a lot of group recruiting, financing, using, and also training mercenary because it is a very lucrative business, and also mercenaries are willing to join these groups because of the big compensation they get after a successful task. Since mercenary is the second oldest profession, it is a little bit impossible to wipe out such a profession completely.

Most of the modern mercenaries right now are labeled as private military contractors. The private military contractors have some requirement; you have to be eligible before you can join them to become a mercenary.

Though mercenaries are illegal, there are many people that would argue that mercenaries are still well and alive around the world. The reason for this is that there are many groups who may not label themselves as mercenaries but are actively recruiting people to join their group for doing the work that mercenaries once did. Many of these groups that are recruiting are doing so by paying their members, and they are going by the legal name of being a private military contractor. They go by this name so that they do not face the consequences of being in an illegal group.

A lot of people say that there are more mercenaries in the world right now as compared to how it was in the past. It does not matter that there are some laws that have been passed that are supposedly banning the use of mercenaries right now in the world. There are still some groups that are openly recruiting. Since the pay is good, people know that they just have to work on themselves so that they can become considered too. Some mercenaries right now are being labeled as “private military contractors.” People who would like to become mercenaries may research this and the requirements that are needed to become eligible.
