A lot of countries have stopped few or all international travel since theCOVID-19pandemicbuthavestartedplanningto reopen. Some various procedures and measures have to be in place to resume international travel operations. These measures and procedures need to be followed by various domestic and international transport agencies and authorities. Other relevant sectors must follow the various public health requirements, and social measures must be put in place. The gradual removal of travel restrictions must be based on strict and tough risk assessment taking into account various content of the domestic epidemiology and movement strategies, the national health and social measures to curb the pandemic, and the levels of health systems in both departure and arrival countries, also at points of entry. Any subsequent measure must be proportionate to public health risks and should be adjusted based on a risk assessment, conducted regularly and systematically as the COVID-19situation evolves and communicates regularly to the public.
There are already some international travels that are going on right now but the truth is told, traveling is not the same as how it used to be. There are a lot of travelers who wish that they can go to different places right now. There are just so many things that are happening. So many places are considered to still be stricken by the pandemic. Going to those places can make you be at risk of acquiring the virus too which means that the virus will spread even more. This is something that you want to avoid at this point in time. People are expecting that traveling internationally will take place again when there is already a vaccine for the virus which may happen in a year or so.
