The 2020 US presidential election will actually be one unique in the history of The United States. This is an election that is taking place in a year that everything seems to have lost form, and everything is out of norms due to some national and global challenges, such as the covid-19.

As a matter of fact, the 2020 election has recorded the highest number of voters in the United States history. Also, something new that has a big tendency to happen, which has never happened before, is the incumbent president losing the election while running or the office again the second time.

Likewise, this election seems to be the closest as the two major contenders have relatively equal supporters among the people of the United States. The closest in terms of results of votes, the gap between the two candidates would be a very slim one.

By early October, 6.6 million Americans had already voted, primarily because of COVID-19; there was a surge in mail voting. Trump has said that mail-in voting is rigged against him, and his allies have helped create skepticism in the election. It has been shown that democrats are more likely to vote by mail. This scenario means that Democrats will procure more votes as mail ballots are counted, but it could also mean that they are less represented in the in-person voting on election day. Even if the media projects Joe Biden to be the winner, Trump may refuse to back down. The United States postal service may be late in delivering ballots, which means that the votes' counting may take longer, as mail delays caused several thousands of votes to arrive late.

When Donald Trump said that he is going to run for president again, a lot of people wanted to vote for him. They felt that he will not have any competition. When Biden went up against Trump, people mocked him because they felt that he would not have a chance. With all of the things that occurred during the past months though, it seems that people are shifting their votes. Biden is now favored to win the presidential elections. Take note that this is only based on surveys though. There is still a possibility that something different will take place on the actual day of the elections.

There are some people who are curious about how the 2020 presidential elections in the United States will take place. While people will go to the polls in order to cast their vote, it is not the total number of votes that will be tallied. Rather, a candidate must get the majority of the votes per state so that it will be in favor of the candidate. For example, one candidate gets 100,000 votes and the other one will get 102,000 votes. The mark will be in favor of the candidate that gets 102,000 votes for that particular state alone. Once all the votes have been cast, they only need to count the number of states that are in favor of one candidate over the other. This explains why votes can be computed easily too in the United States.

2020 is one of the most critical elections of modern history, and it will look so much different than what past elections have been done. There are many issues that are impacting the election and how it will be different from others. The main reason is the global pandemic that is has affected most of 2020, which is the coronavirus.

The numbers are beginning to spike again, with Donald Trump himself getting the virus. With that, many people are fearful of voting in person, so they are choosing to vote via mail-in ballot or voting early. Another reason why this election is different is that there are certain groups that are interfering with the election by moving USPS drop boxes and putting up false locations to affect the number of ballots that are sent in.

The 2020 election will look much different than past elections. Due to the coronavirus, much of the country is voting early or voting by mail-in ballot. Along with that, the candidates are not on the campaign trail as much because many states are not allowing massive crowds.

It is changing by the day, and the recent change has been that Donald Trump has come down with the coronavirus. This has led to the second Presidential Debate to be canceled because he would not commit to a virtual one.

Many are hoping that the election will end peacefully, but it is not promised with the rhetoric that has come from the Republican party.
