1. Know that 60 seconds makes one minute: This is a universally accepted truth, no matter the part of the world you are in.
2. So, you are to divide any number of seconds that you want to convert to a minute by 60. For example, if you want to convert 366 seconds into a minute, you will have 366 ÷ 60, which would definitely give you 6.1.
3. Subtract your answer from its whole number. That is; 6.1–6 = 0.1.
4. At this stage, multiply the decimals by 60 so as to convert them back to seconds. From our example. You have 0.1×60 = 6 seconds.
5. Your whole number in step 2 is the number of minutes., and your answer in step 4 is the number of seconds. Therefore, your answer would be 6 minutes, 6 seconds.
