You can actually make yahoo your homepage on any browser going through their menu buttons.
But for chrome, go through these steps:
1. Click on the Settings option under the menu button, usually at the top right part of the chrome window.
2. Locate the appearances section under this tab and locate the "Show Home button."
3. Locate the "Enter custom web address" below the "Show Home button" option. So, you can type in the address you want to set as your homepage.
4. Since you want to use the yahoo page, you can type in the domain name, such as "www.yahoo.com."
5. Locate an option below: "Open a specific page or set of pages" and click on it.
6. Just below this option, you will see another option named "Add a new page" and then select it.
7. Here you can add more yahoo pages that you want to set as homepage and click on add when you are done inserting.
8. Now you have yahoo set as your homepage onward.
