1. To deactivate a Kik account, start by opening the Kik Messenger app on your device. You might be logged in automatically or be required to sign in.
2. Look for the settings icon at the top of the screen, click on it. From a list of options, you will see, click on "Your Account." This contains details such as your Kik Username, Email, and name.
3. Try to review your username and email as you will need them if you want to deactivate your account permanently.
4. If you are going for temporary deactivation, use your browser to navigate to https://ws.kik.com/deactivate. Enter your email and click "Go." This will cause an email to be sent to you. Open the message and navigate to Kik to deactivate.
5. If you are going for permanent deactivation, use your browser to navigate to https://ws.kik.com/delete. Enter your username and email; then, you will need to state why you are leaving Kik. Check the box to confirm your action, then click Go.
6. A message will be sent to your email and open it from Kik, then click permanently deactivate.
