There are different methods you can use to factory reset Windows 7.

However, the following steps will help you to achieve this.

1. Check the lower-left area of your screen and click on Start; click on the button that has the Windows logo. Search for Control Panel and click on it. After clicking on Control Panel, also click on System and Security.

2. Look for Backup and Restore, then click on it.

3. After getting to the Backup and Restore window, all you need to do is to click on "Recover System Settings or Your Computer. " This will take you to where you will click on Advanced recovery methods.

4. At this point, click on Return Your Computer to Factory Condition, though there are two options in this window. However, in the event that your computer does not have any recovery partition, you will need to use another option.

5. You will need to select either to go on with the factory reset or select back up now.

6. Finally, click on restart.
