Learning how to ride a motorcycle as a beginner can look very difficult, most especially when thinking of how to maintain your balance, how to speed, how to ride it when coming in contact with other people on the road, and other things.
1. To get started, you need to get your protective or safety gear such as helmet, motorcycle jacket, boots, gloves, etc. You actually need them when riding a motorcycle, more importantly as a beginner, in order to reduce your casualties in case of an accident.
2. Before you sit on that motorcycle, it is highly advised that you take a motorcycle safety course.
4. After you are done with step 2, you can start to learn how to handle or control the motorcycle. There are basic controls you need to know, so familiarize yourself with them.
5. Get on the motorcycle with your feet on the ground. Check the functions of the controls and sense how it feels to be on a bike alone.
6. At this point, after you might have learned the controls and other important parts of the motorcycle, I expect that you already know the functions of the clutch. Yeah, it is used mostly when changing gears.
7. Start riding the motorcycle by first pulling the clutch in and start the engine using the switch-on function. Then, keep releasing the clutch slowly and with your feet still on the ground.
8. After training yourself for some minutes or even hours, then you can start placing your feet rightly on the motorcycle.
9. Learn how to change gears as you move.
