1. Turn your envelope over to the back and write your name on the top left side of the page. Ensure you add your title, if necessary, such as Mr., Mrs., Ms., or Miss.
2. Just below this, write your address as assigned to you by the post office. Then write your city, followed by your state and zip code all on a line. This will be the end of the return address.
3. As for the mailing address now, write the name of the person you are sending the envelope to, including the necessary title.
4. The next thing to write on the line is the address of the fellow. Sometimes, you might need to include some abbreviations such as ATTN (if you are sending your letter to someone in a company) or c/o.
5. Write the person's city, how or her state, as well as the postal or zip code on the next line.
6. Obtain the right postage and place it on the top right part of your letter.
