1. Open your crafting menu: First of all, create your crafting grid with 3 rows by 3 columns when you open the crafting table.
2. Add the necessary items to make your torch: There are two recipes that you can use in making your torch. The first recipe is a stick and charcoal, while the second recipe is a stick and coal. Nevertheless, you have to place your items correctly in the grid to obtain the desired result.
3. If you are using the stick and charcoal recipe, place a stick in the center of the grid, which is the second box on the second row, then put the charcoal in the box above it. Four torches would then appear towards the right side of your grid.
4. If you are using the stick and coal recipe, place your items just like it was described in step 3 above. Just replace the charcoal with coal; then, you will also have your four torches at the right side of the grid.
5. Lastly, move your obtained item to the inventory.
