Tutus are for little girls who are involved in dance. Tutus can be all different colors, such as purple and pink. Children tend to gravitate towards them because the ballerinas wear them.
It is a joy for mothers to be able to make tutus for their tiny dancers.
• Buy tulle in a fabric bolt or on a spool.
• You will need a certain amount of material, depending upon the size of the tutu.
• Tulle spools generally contain about 25 yards.
• Purchase some elastic.
• To find out how much elastic you require, measure the child’s waist, and purchase that specific amount of elastic.
• Measure and cut out tulle strips if you are using a bolt.
• You will want to calculate and cut your tulle.
• Use a ruler or tape measure to calculate and cut your tulle.
• You can either join the ends of the elastic piece together by tying or sewing them.
