Minesweeper is no longer found on Windows computers.
However, you can download the newest version from the Windows 10 store for free.
• Open Minesweeper and click the green Microsoft Minesweeper app.
• Select the difficulty level.
• In the higher left side of the Window, start your first game by clicking one of the following difficulty settings.
• Click on any square in the grid.
• This selection will start the Minesweeper game.
• Examine the numbers.
• Any number on the board indicates the number of mines presently touching that number’s square.
• Right-click any squares that you think contain mines.
• Double click any uncertain squares.
• Doing so will place a question mark over the square, demonstrating that you want to leave the square alone until you have decided against other squares.
• Click any squares that do not contain mines.
• This move will remove the squares in question.
• Clear the board.
• To win Minesweeper, you must click on the board every square that does not have a mine under it.
• Once you do, the game is over.
