Have you ever struggled to wrap up a present for someone and had disastrous results? Not everyone is gifted in the area of present wrapping (pardon the pun), but with these simple instructions, you will become acclimated to the process and hopefully understand how to do it for next time.
• Tape one edge of the gift-wrapping paper to the box.
• Once you cut the paper to the right size, you can let go of it.
• Fold over the free edge of the paper over the box, press it flat against the bottom of the box.
• Use scotch tape and place it near the middle of the box and secure the paper.
• Fold the additional side of the paper over the top of the box.
• Overlap this paper marginally with the paper at the bottom layer.
• Tuck in the wrapping paper on the corners.
• Two sides of the present will still have wrapping paper poking outside.
• Start on one side, and push both ends of the paper so that they envelop the corners of the box.
• Crease the triangle-shaped folds.
• The ends should hug the corners of the box.
• You will see four triangle shape folds on each of the corners.
• Make use of your fingers to crease each fold to secure it.
• Fold over the upper and lower flap.
• Now, there should be two trapezoid-shaped flaps on the top and bottom of the box.
• Fold the top flap down and crease the edge to secure it.
• Pull the bottom flap up so that it overlaps with the top flap.
• Crease the edge to secure the fold.
• Make sure the sides don’t pop up and put the tape on either side.
• Secure the upper flap to the lower flap, placing the tape in the middle of the box’s side.
• This side of the box should be fully covered by wrapping paper.
• Do the same to the other side.
• Press is wrapping at the box’s corners inward. Make sure the whole box is covered sufficiently with wrapping paper.
• Tape the folds down.
• Now, you can wrap like a pro!
