How to say cat in Japanese?

Just as there are different words for the word 'cat' in other languages, there is also a word for cat in Japanese, and it is very easy to pronounce once you know what to say.

1. The Japanese word for cat is (ねこ, or 猫) or Neko. The main problem I guess you might face is how to pronounce it the exact way a Japanese will pronounce it.

2. In that case, you can pronounce the first two letters, i.e., "Ne" as though you are pronouncing "neh" with 'e' has a short sound. For the other two letters, i.e. "Ko," you will need to pronounce it as though you are saying "Coh" and must have the sound "oh."

3. So, when pronouncing "Neko", use the simple steps offered in steps 1 and 2. Being able to pronounce "ney coh" is the same as saying "neko."
