There are different patterns of screenshots you can take on MacBook air. You can take a screenshot of the entire MacBook air screen; you can take a screenshot of a Window, you can also take a screenshot of a section of the MacBook air screen.

1. To take a screenshot of the entire MacBook air screen, all you need to do is to hold the following keys i.e., Command + Shift + 3. Immediately this is done, it will take a picture of the entire MacBook air screen. The result is usually a png file and can be easily located by checking the screenshot date or time

2. To take a screenshot of a section of the MacBook air screen, simply hold the following keys i.e., Command + Shift + 4. Doing this will allow you to use your cursor to select the rectangular area you wish to screenshot. The picture of the screenshotted page will be saved on your desktop.
