The computer factory setting depends on the products and instructions from the manufacturer. Restoring your Windows 7 computer to its original factory setting returns your system to a factory-fresh software state. A factory setting allows you to sell your computer and also experience a fresh start as a user.

Here are tips on how to factory reset window 7 devices.

1. First, you have to save all your important documents and files to an external hard disk, flash drive, etc. because factory setting will erase all data from the computer.

2. Restart the system and then watch the screen to find the appropriate bootup command.

3. Press the appropriate bootup command to access your computer recovery partition.

4. Select the option to restore your computer to factory settings.

If you would need to reset factory settings on your Windows 7 device, these are just some of the things that you can do:

• Make sure that you will start the device that you are using.

• You need to press and hold the F8 key.

• You may probably be directed to the “Advanced Boot Repair” option.

• Press “Enter.”

• Choose the keyboard language that you want and click “Next.”

• Log in with the administrative account.

• Choose “System Recovery Options.”

• Choose “Startup Repair.”

This will prompt the Windows 7 device to restart factory settings which means that you will have a device that feels like new.

- To restore your Windows 7 computer to factory settings, you will need to store all important files on the computer to an external storage device so they won't be deleted during the process.

- After this has been done, you can power off the computer and you should not connect any external device to it.

- Press the power button to power on your computer, and continue to press F8 until it takes you to the Advanced Boot Options menu.

- There is an option that tells you to "repair your computer", all you need to do is to select that option and press enter.

- After this stage you will need to select a keyboard layout, after which you click " Next"

- At this point, sign in as the administrator or as a local user, then press okay

- If you are using Dell computer, select “Dell Factory Image Restore, or select accordingly depending on the model of your computer, then press next.

- The system will display something like "reformat hard drive and restore system software to factory condition", then press next.
