There are different academic styles that you may be required to use when you are making research papers.

If you want to create an APA style reference page, these are the steps that you have to remember:

• There’s going to be one−inch page margins on all sides of the document.

• The font should be Times New Roman, and the font size should be 12.

• Make sure that you will put References on the center portion of the page. It should serve as your title.

• Running head should be placed on the top left corner.

• Page number should be placed on the top right corner.

• Double spacing should be placed between the different references.

• There should be a hanging indent of ½ space for every reference that would consume more than one line.

Follow these tips, and you will have the APA style reference page that you need.

1. The first piece of information you must have before you can write an APA style reference page in the citation is that you should always acknowledge the author(s) using their last name and first initials. When separating the author's last name from his or her initials, use a comma. Use the symbol "&" when listing two authors. Also, use commas to separate each author when listing more than two authors.

2. After the names and the initials, you should also write the publication date, i.e., the date the materials or books you are referencing were copyrighted.

3. Another thing that must be included after the publication date is the title of the source. The first letter of each title must be a capital letter, also do the same for subtitles.

4. Also, try to include the location as well as the name of the publisher. After this, you must ensure that the publication titles are written in full.

5. The volume of the material, issue, as well as the page numbers must be included, most especially when it is a periodical.

6. Finally, always include the URL in the case of online publications.
