Writing a check is not always a difficult thing to do.
1. Once you have your check, start by writing the date. The appropriate place where the date will be put is usually the upper-right hand corner of the check. However, you must make sure the date tally with the day the bottom of the check is signed.
2. The next thing to do is to be sure of the name of the person you are writing the check to. The same thing should be done if you are writing the check to a company, and you can't completely remember the name of the company. Put the name of the recipient where you see "Pay to the Order of."
3. Put the amount you are writing on the check. For instance, if you live in America, use dollars and cents. For example, you can simply write 50:00.
4. The "Pay to the Order of" line is very long, but the amount you are writing on the check-in words using the line.
5. To sign on the check, there is a space in the bottom right corner.
6. You can also fill out the memo section, though it's optional.
