In mathematics, it is always important that you will find the percentage error. The percentage error is the difference between a measured value and the accepted value. This is normally used when people would like to know the difference between the two. A lot of times, people reach absolute error, which is fine.

To calculate, these are the things that you should do:

• Subtract the actual number from the estimated number.

• Divide the error in absolute value by the actual number.

• Now, you would get the answer or the error in decimal form.

• You can then multiply the decimal by 100%.

• This will lead you to have the percentage error.

There are some online calculators available that will allow you to check if you have reached the right answer.
