MLA style is a writing style that is mostly used for academic papers. A front-page is not required when using the MLA style. However, most instructors ask for a separate title page.

The following steps can be used to

1. On your first page, go 1/3 way down to type in your title.

2. Press your enter key twice or go two lines down to write your name. Your name should be organized, first, then the last name.

3. Go down three times or skip two or three lines to write your class information or course.

4. Write the instructor's name in the next line.

5. Write the date on the next line.

These are the necessary steps needed to write your MLA style.

You know that there are various title pages that you are going to make, especially when you are studying. It will be hard to keep track of all of them. To make sure that you are doing the MLA format right, these are some things that you have to remember.

*The page should be double spaced, and the page should be centered.

*You also need to make sure that you will type the college or the university where you are currently studying.

*Go to a one-third portion of the page so that you will type in the title of the research paper that you are creating. If there is a subtitle, do not forget to place that in too.

*When it comes to the font, make sure that you will choose something that is easy to read, such as Times New Roman.

• To write your title page in MLA format, make sure you write your title in about one-third distance down of your page. Make sure the title is written in title case, and no unnecessary punctuation marks.

• After this, leave about 2 to 3 lines and then write your name in full.

• Leave about 2 to 3 lines again, and then write your course name with its code.

• On the very next line, write the name of your tutor or lecturer. Make sure you include the correct title as the case might be.

• Right after this line, on the next one, but the date. With the MLA format, it is highly recommended you use the European style to write your date. That is, the day first, then a month, and then followed by the year. For example, 15 July 2020.

• For the MLA format, you do not need the cover page. So do not be worried about that.

Those who are in school need to know how to do the cover or title page in the MLA format. This is because most teachers require it for their papers. To start,

• Add the title to the title page 1/2 way down the page.

• Ensure the first letter of every word in the title is capitalized.

• Write your name 2-3 lines below the title. It should include the first and last name.

• 3 lines below that write the information of the course, including the name of the course, the name of the teacher, and the date. Normally, the date is when it is due or when it is being turned in.
